Universitat Ramon Llull

Based in Barcelona and established in 1990 as a non-profit making university, the aim of the URL is to provide a quality education, focussed on the person, that provides answers to the needs of the society. With 15.886 students (2006-07 course) and 44 first and second cycle degrees, the URL promotes not only the intellectual education but also the personal growth. Its methodology favours the integral education of the person and the domain of the new technologies in order to train the professionals of the future.

The success of the URL, which is formed by 10 federated institutions of great prestige and with a long tradition in Catalonia (IQS, Blanquerna, ESADE, La Salle, Faculty of Philosophy, Pere Tarrés University Schools of Social Work and Social Education, Ebro Observatory, Vidal i Barraquer University Institute of Mental Health, Borja Institute of Bioethics and ESDi Higher School of Design -associated center-), lies in the quality of teaching -based in the strengthening of the aptitudes of the person-, the reduced working groups and the close relationship between the students and the teaching staff.

The URL has in its centres the best and most modern equipment and has signed agreements with more than 4.000 companies in order that the students can carry out professional training. Opened to other cultures and to a more and more globalized world, Ramon Llull University maintains agreements with networks and institutions of great notoriety which facilitate mobility and allow a continued exchange of students and professors worldwide.
